Keeping items out of landfill lowers your environmental footprint and helps save ratepayer money. Our two recycling centres allow residents to recycle items such as furniture, clothing, mobile phones and more at no cost.

Fees for non-residents dropping off recyclable materials are as follows:
- Standard 6x4 box type trailer: $120
- Tandem 8x5 to 1 tonne: $200
- Cars and station wagons: $60
- Utes and vans: $120
Fees for non-residents dropping off non-recyclable materials (general waste) are as follows:
- Standard 6x4 box type trailer: $331
- Tandem 8x5 to 1 tonne: $395
- Cars and station wagons: $113
- Utes and vans: $226
Tyre disposal and recycling charge:
- Tyres (off rims): $13 (max 4 per resident)
- Tyres (on rims): $25 (max 4 per resident)
Only passenger and 4x4 tyres are accepted (excludes truck/bobcat tyres).
We reserve the right to refuse non-compliant loads. No fees are charged for Containers for Change drop-offs.

Residents
Before requesting a tip pass, please consider taking your items to a Recycling Centre. Tip passes are only provided to rate payers that do not have access to the verge collection service. Passes are automatically sent to eligible residents, if you do not receive your tip pass please contact us.
Businesses
Businesses located in the City of Swan can apply to use the Recycling Centre - Malaga twice each financial year. Eligible businesses are those that pay a City of Swan waste and recycling charge and have a set of City of Swan general waste and recycling bins.
If your business is eligible, please complete the registration form. Passes will be posted to your business once your application is approved.

- Used motor oil (limit 20L per resident)
- Green waste (max. 1.5m long X 300mm wide). Grass clippings are not accepted.
- White goods

Any load larger is considered a commercial load and will not be accepted.
Before requesting a residential bulk waste disposal pass, please consider taking your items to a recycling centre or donating to your local charity, op shop or Facebook buy-nothing group.
A Containers for Change refund point is open at the Recycling Centre – Bullsbrook, 121 Stock Road, Bullsbrook, 6084.
Important reminders:
- Containers must be left in their original form (not crushed)
- Bags should not exceed 20kg
- Bags that can be left on site (as we are a drop-and-go site) should be used to deliver containers
- ALL rubbish must be removed from bags
- Material delivered any other way may be turned away.
The Recycling Centre – Malaga is not a Containers for Change drop-off point.
If you intend to return more than 1,500 containers at one time you will need to sign a refund declaration form and provide identification.

Located at the Recycling Centre – Bullsbrook, the Reuse Shop stocks as-is artwork, large pieces of furniture, tools, barbecues, toys, dinner sets and knick-knacks at low prices.
Please make sure donated items are not damaged and are in a clean and tidy condition. All pre-used items are sold as-is.
Please note: While we ensure all items are in good condition, they may not be in perfect condition.

The Red Hill Waste Management Facility accepts a wide range of waste from the public, commercial operators, and local, regional, state and federal government organisations.

Our Bullsbrook and Malaga recycling centres are approved PSHB waste management facilities, where community members can dispose of green waste and wooden furniture items.
When transporting these items, it is the community member’s responsibility to make sure that all loads are sealed and covered.
The City has also received approval to continue shredding and distributing green waste material.
