Youth Week WA April 10-17 is the biggest celebration of young people aged 10-25 years, recognising their contribution to our community. 

This week-long event will feature various activities hosted and supported by the City of Swan, showcasing the incredible contributions of young people to our social, cultural and economic life.

This year's theme is'Our Threads, This Place, Your Moment,' reflecting young people's connections with their community, each other, and themselves.

A skatepark competition is a place for participants to showcase their skills to their friends, family, peers and the wider community.

This action-packed day will include a water slide, bucking bull ride, glow basketball, zorb balls, friendly competitions and much more, ensuring something for everyone.

From 12noon-6pm, catch all the action of the Midvale Skatepark skateboard, BMX and scooter competition.

A skatepark competition is a place for participants to showcase their skills and to demonstrate their growing skills to their friends, family, peers and the wider community.

Rise Stratton Youth Centre is hosting a fun-filled event to celebrate young people and recognise their contribution to our community. 

Come along and enjoy the water slide, bucking bull ride, popcorn, sausage sizzle lunch and more.

The City of Swan engagement team will be there to chat with attendees about what they want to see in their area.

There will be Youth Homelessness Matters (April 16) pins, art activities and pledge boards to raise awareness.

The Ballajura Youth Outreach Project is collaborating with Kids First Australia and Whitelion to host a Youth Week music event at the Dungeon Youth Centre in Ballajura. 

The event will feature games, giveaways, a dance floor, and a chill-out zone, making it an exciting opportunity to engage with the young people in our community.

A range of services will have a stall at the event.

Headspace and Our Place Youth Committee is hosting a fun and creative youth art series at Swan City Youth Services, supported by the City of Swan.

Activities will include individual art-making stations like mini canvas painting, jewellery making, and origami, and a large-scale community mosaic. 

Local artists, organisations, and youth advocates will guide the activities, ensuring the event is engaging, inclusive, and educational.
