Restricted burning period has started

The restricted burning period runs from Tuesday, April 1, 2025 until Saturday, May 31, 2025.

The City is currently not issuing permits to burn due the warm and dry weather.

Gidgegannup/Brigadoon storm recovery

The City of Swan is responding to widespread damage caused by a severe storm in Gidgegannup.

Easter bin collection and recycling centre opening hours

If your bin collection is due on Good Friday, April 18, your bins will be collected a day later on Saturday, April 19. The bin collection due on Easter Monday, April 21, is unaffected.

Our recycling centres in Bullsbrook and Malaga will be closed on Good Friday, April 18 and Easter Sunday, April 20.

The Containers for Change facility at Recycling centre - Bullsbrook will also be closed on Easter Monday, April 21.

Easter and ANZAC Day opening hours

The Administration Centre will be closed on Good Friday, April 18, and Easter Monday, April 21. It will also be closed on ANZAC Day, April 25.

All Library branches are closed on Good Friday, April 18, and Easter Monday, April 21.

Ellenbrook and Ballajura Libraries (which are usually open on Sundays) are closed on Easter Sunday, April 20.

Libraries will also be closed on Anzac Day but open as usual the rest of the weekend.

Swan Active gyms are closed on Good Friday.

Event description

Join us for a free movie as part of National Volunteer Week.

Come along to a free screening and enjoy popcorn and a choc top while you watch Mickey 17. Known as an expendable, Mickey 17 goes on a dangerous journey to colonise an ice planet.

This event is held at Ace Hoyts in Midland Gate. Seating is unreserved.

12.45pm: Guests arrive
1.15pm: Film starts
3.33pm: Film ends, guests depart
