Thinking Green: Trees are cool(ing)

Event description

Please note that this program is suitable for children 10 - 12 years of age. Parents/guardians are welcome, but supervision is not required.

When young people are asked what they think the big environmental issues are they often say the loss of trees, climate change and our cities heating up. Delve into this by learning about the Millennium Kids Green Lab project and using satellite mapping to see how tree numbers have changed in the last decade. Participate in outdoor activities to investigate trees and then make and share a plan to take action in your neighbourhood

Take home a native plant to plant in your yard.

Please note that this workshop involves heading outside so please bring a hat and drink bottle.

This workshop is part of the WA Tree Festival.
