Restricted burning period has started

The restricted burning period runs from Tuesday, April 1, 2025 until Saturday, May 31, 2025.

The City is currently not issuing permits to burn due the warm and dry weather.

Gidgegannup/Brigadoon storm recovery

The City of Swan is responding to widespread damage caused by a severe storm in Gidgegannup.

Easter bin collection and recycling centre opening hours

If your bin collection is due on Good Friday, April 18, your bins will be collected a day later on Saturday, April 19. The bin collection due on Easter Monday, April 21, is unaffected.

Our recycling centres in Bullsbrook and Malaga will be closed on Good Friday, April 18 and Easter Sunday, April 20.

The Containers for Change facility at Recycling centre - Bullsbrook will also be closed on Easter Monday, April 21.

Easter and ANZAC Day opening hours

The Administration Centre will be closed on Good Friday, April 18, and Easter Monday, April 21. It will also be closed on ANZAC Day, April 25.

All Library branches are closed on Good Friday, April 18, and Easter Monday, April 21.

Ellenbrook and Ballajura Libraries (which are usually open on Sundays) are closed on Easter Sunday, April 20.

Libraries will also be closed on Anzac Day but open as usual the rest of the weekend.

Swan Active gyms are closed on Good Friday.

Event description

This program is suitable for children 6-12 years of age. Adult supervision is required.

Join Hannah from Budding Concepts who is a passionate horticulturalist and dedicated plant geek and will guide you through:

how trees grow and function
the amazing array of wildlife that trees support and connections to our ecosystem
the benefits they have to our homes and surroundings
learn common tree names and how to spot them!
