Trading on City owned or managed land helps activate spaces and is beneficial not only to the business in question but also the wider community.
However prior to trading occurring the activity must first be approved by the City.
To simplify the process for traders, we have developed a Temporary Trading in Public Places Policy. This policy establishes a number of guiding principles designed to streamline the process whilst at the same time providing safeguards to ensure public safety and amenity is not adversely impacted and measures are in place to protect existing established businesses.
A number of activities and locations have been pre approved and do not require an application be submitted. To check if your planned activity falls under one of these categories please refer to the Temporary Trading on City of Swan Managed Land fact sheet below of view the Policy itself.
Please note that applications for street trading on Road Reserves will not be approved.
