Calling all talented photographers and creative visionaries! Here's your golden opportunity to capture the essence of the City of Swan through your lens and have your work featured in our much-anticipated 2025 Community Calendar.
This year, our theme is "Get Amongst It," focusing on the vibrant life captured throughout the City. We want to showcase the energy, diversity, and beauty of our community as people get amongst activities and embrace the local landscape.
Are you passionate about exploring our stunning landscapes, discovering hidden gems or immersing yourself in our community? We want you to show us how you get amongst it in Swan.
It could be an image of your children laughing at a park, athletes participating in a sports event or community connections forming at a local market – whatever makes Swan special to you.
The 12 winning entries will feature in the City’s 2025 Community Calendar. Each winner will also receive a $200 gift card.

Competition guidelines
- Photographs must be a minimum 3600 x 2550 pixels (print resolution) fitting an A4 (1:1.41) ratio to be eligible for judging
- Photographs must be original and photographed by the entrant and not infringe any party’s intellectual property rights
- Photographs must be taken within the City of Swan boundary
- Competition entries will give the City of Swan automatic ownership of images that may be used in other promotional materials, with and without credit
- Winning photographs will feature in the City’s 2025 Community Calendar (credited to the entrant as per details entered upon submission)
- All entrants must read and accept the City of Swan’s 2025 Community Calendar ‘Get Amongst It’ photography competition terms and conditions to be eligible.

The panel of judges will shortlist entries based on the competition criteria, and then the community will vote for their favourite photos on the City of Swan website to determine the final 12 images.
There is no limit to the number of photographs you can submit, however only one photo per entrant can be selected by the panel.
Yes, photographs featuring people engaging in community activities are encouraged, provided you have obtained appropriate permissions. If you capture images containing people, including children, you must provide a model release form for each person to be eligible.
The top 12 winners will have their photograph featured in the City of Swan's 2025 Community Calendar with hundreds of copies delivered to local facilities and residents across the City.
Each winner will also receive a $200 gift card.
