Slow Food and Wine Festival connects food, wine and land

Published on: Thursday, April 24, 2025
Make time for the Swan Valley’s first Slow Food and Wine Festival, May 2-4, 2025.

Honouring the deep connection between food, wine, and the land, the festival is a celebration linking the wisdom of the Noongar people to the influence of the Swan Valley’s more recent Croatian and Italian settlers.

The festival offers an opportunity to explore the flavours and history that make the Swan Valley so special.

Founded in 1989, the Slow Food movement is a not-for-profit, global, grassroots organisation encouraging preservation of local food traditions while raising awareness about food origins and their impact.

Hosted by Slow Food Swan Valley and Eastern Regions, the festival launches with an exclusive dinner on Friday, May 2, allowing you to meet the producers and sponsors of the inaugural event.

This immersive experience celebrates the Swan Valley’s rich and varied traditions, with six courses perfectly paired with offerings from participating wineries: Local Weirdos, Swan Valley Wines, Talijancich Wines and Vino Volta.

Three Slow Food and Wine sessions – two on May 3 and one on May 4 – will feature winemakers, chefs, storytellers, and Noongar, Croatian and Italian folklore groups sharing culture through sustainable food, local produce, and traditional music and dance.

Each session accommodates 140 guests, ensuring an intimate and immersive experience.

Book your session here.
