Being a library member gives you access to more than 200,000 items. Our collections are managed in line with our Collection Development Guidelines.
Joining is free and easy, and anyone is welcome - including temporary residents and visitors.
You can become a member in person or online. By submitting your membership application you are agreeing to the terms of our Library Membership Guidelines
To join in person, visit your local library and talk to our staff. If you are under 18 you will need to bring a parent or guardian, unless you live independently.
To join online, simply complete the online registration form.
Once registered, you can reserve items or borrow eResources straight away. Visit any of our libraries to finalise your membership and collect your card. If you are under 18 you will need to bring a parent or guardian[KM2] , unless you live independently.
eMembership
If wish to access our expanding eLibrary, then our eMembership option may be for you. Simply complete our online registration form.
Members can borrow up to 30 items for up to three weeks. Items can be returned to any of our six libraries or our Gidgegannup Drop-Point Library, no matter which library you borrowed the item from.
You can also borrow items from the eLibrary. Borrowing terms for eAudiobooks, eBooks, eMagazines, eComics, and eMovies vary so check with each provider for those details.
Items can be renewed by phone, in person at your nearest library or online by signing in to your account.
Items can’t be renewed if they are long overdue, been renewed twice already, or are reserved by another library member.
To reserve an item, contact or visit your local library or reserve it through the library catalogue.
If the item isn't in our catalogue, you can place a request online or in the library.
